Join us from the comfort of your home on September 14 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. as FCS Financial hosts a virtual seminar featuring Dr. Sara Place, Elanco, and Justin Patterson, FCS Financial Chief Appraiser.
Dr. Place, Chief Sustainability Office at Elanco, will share how sustainability encompasses environment, social and economic domain in her session “Where’s the beef with sustainability?”.
Prior to Elanco, Dr. Place was the senior director for sustainable beef production research at the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and an assistant professor in sustainable beef cattle systems at Oklahoma State University. She received her Ph.D. in animal biology from the University of California, Davis, a bachelor’s in animal science from Cornell University, and an associates of applied science degree in agriculture business from Morrisville State College.
Then Justin Patterson, FCS Financial Chief Appraiser, will discuss the latest farm real estate trends in “Key Land Drivers: What producers need to know to navigate land markets.”
Justin has been with the Farm Credit System for more than 11 years and in his current role he is focused on process improvement. Justin spent most of his Farm Credit career working for American AgCredit in south-central, Kansas. Justin grew up on a small dairy and cash grain farm near Wichita. He is a 2008 graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in agricultural economics.
